Bio
Kyle is currently a senior at Ohio University majoring in meteorology with minors in math and physics. He was born and raised in Wadsworth, OH a small town located just outside of Akron where he graduated from Wadsworth High School in 2007. Kyle is a student member of the National Weather Association and the American Meteorological Society. He is the president of Gamma Theta Upsilon Honors Society in Geography and vice president of OU's Meteorology Club/AMS Student Chapter.
During the summer of 2010 Kyle interned for WSMV-TV an NBC Affiliate in Nashville, TN. Here he worked alongside chief meteorologist Dan Thomas tracking local storms and weather patterns, developing graphics for Central Tennessee, and spent many hours in front of the 'green screen' preparing for a future career in television.
In his free time Kyle enjoys tracking severe weather and loves to get out in the field every chance he gets. His passion for severe weather has led him all across Ohio and neighboring states, but when time permits, he has found himself as far out as Oklahoma and Kansas seeking the thrill of chasing tornadoes. Besides chasing storms he loves spending time with his family, running, camping and playing a wide range of sports.
Kyle also loves getting out in the community so feel free to contact him if you have a class or meeting at which you would like him and other meteorology students to speak.
