Biography
I'm from Hudson, Ohio, near Cleveland, and I graduated from Hudson High School in 2009. I am a junior here at Ohio University working toward a Meteorology major, in the Geography department, and a minor in Mathematics. I'm studying Meteorology because I like the extremes of weather; extremely hot and cold areas fascinate me. Ultimately, I want to focus more on tropical meteorology so I will be applying to the University of Hawaii for graduate school.
This past summer I was awarded a Fulbright scholarship to study Swahili in Tanzania. I was there for 2 months and became pretty fluent. I am still studying Swahili at Ohio University and I intend on returning to East Africa. I love traveling/backpacking, and a goal of mine is to have a fat passport, full of visas. That's what I like about Meteorology; weather happens everywhere. I hope my Meteorology degree will allow me to travel all over the world, or to simply live on the beach for the rest of my life. I would be happy with either one.
