Biography
Alex is a junior Meteorology/ Geography major minoring in mathematics. Originating from Eastlake, OH, he graduated from Eastlake North High in 2008. Alex has been an active member of OUCAMS since freshmen year and is currently the treasurer and fundraising co-chair. Since winter of 2010 Alex has been conducting research alongside Dr. Ryan Fogt, investigating the climatological synoptic low pressure around the Amundsen and Bellingshausen Seas. In the spring of 2010 Alex became a recipient of the NOAA Ernest F. Hollings Scholarship and will be interning at the National Severe Storms Laboratory in Norman, OK for the 2011 summer.
Upon completing his undergraduate studies, Alex wishes to attend graduate school. His current work has encouraged him to pursue a research career in an undetermined field of meteorology, although he is keeping an open mind about employment with the National Weather Service.
